Meg Harris :: FINIS Australia Athletes
Growing up in Mackay, a small town in North Queensland, Australia, Harris embarked on her swimming journey at the age of 3 with learn-to-swim lessons. Her passion for the sport was further ignited at age 5 when her mother became a swim teacher.
Harris’s impressive career includes a gold medal at the 2017 Youth Commonwealth Games, as well as a silver medal and two bronze medals at the 2019 Junior World Championships. She made her Olympic debut at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where she not only earned a gold medal but also helped set a world record in the 4x100m freestyle relay.
At the 2023 Fukuoka World Championships, Harris left with two golds and a silver in hand! Even more notably, Harris assisted in Team Australia crushing yet another World Record in in the LC 4x100m freestyle relay.
Harris most recently made a splash at the 2024 Paris Olympics, bringing home three medals! She kicked things off with a gold in the 4x100 freestyle relay, followed by a silver in the 4x100 medley as a heat swimmer, and capped it all with a silver in the 50m freestyle finals.
