About FINIS
FINIS, Inc. was founded in California in 1993 by John Mix and Pablo Morales, the 1992 Olympic 100 m butterfly gold medallist. In 1995 it created the Swimmer’s Snorkel, a centre-mount snorkel designed for competitive swimming, followed by the Tempo Trainer in 2001 and the Agility Paddle, the first strapless paddle, in 2012. The Agility Paddles earned a 2013 Red Dot Design Award. FINIS products are designed in California.
FINIS sponsors elite swimmers as #TeamFINIS, including Australians Meg Harris and Shayna Jack. At the Paris 2024 Olympics, #TeamFINIS athletes won 11 medals (6 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze), all racing in the FINIS HydroX tech suit.
FINIS Australia is part of The LAP Collective Pty Ltd, based on the Gold Coast, Queensland. It has distributed FINIS in Australia and New Zealand since 2020, and dispatches every order from the Gold Coast. The same Gold Coast team also runs TRISWIM Australia and JAYD Swimwear.
