Oliver Morgan

 

Oliver Morgan is a swimmer to watch closely! At just 18, he began training with Gary Humpage at the University of Birmingham. In his debut season, Morgan secured the BUCS Championship in the 100m Backstroke and earned two silver medals at the British Summer Nationals.

By April 2023, Morgan had made a remarkable leap, emerging as a three-time British champion by winning all three backstroke events (50m, 100m, and 200m) at the British Swimming Trials. This impressive performance earned him a place on the British Swimming World Championships team.

Building on his success, Morgan finished 9th in the world for both the 100m and 200m Backstroke and helped the GB team achieve 5th place in the Men’s 4x100m Medley Relay at the World Championships.

In 2024, Morgan demonstrated remarkable determination and skill at the Paris Olympics, proudly representing Great Britain. His outstanding performance earned him a top-10 finish, securing 8th place in the world in the 100m backstroke.
